Posting a Complaint
We require registration for several reasons, BUT your information WILL NOT be given out, EVER! With registration, we are hoping to deter individuals that are here just to flame others, spam our boards, or those who do not have a ligitimate complaint. Moreover, in the event that parties involved are trying to resolve your issues, or are taking legal actions against you, we may need to notify you. It also prevents unauthorized users from accessing and mofifying your post.
Step 2: Post
Simply click on "Post" in the header of the Home Page. You will be taken to a log-in page. Log in. Hint: Log in on the Home Page when visiting, you will remain logged in until you log out and anytime a log-in box appears, your log-in information will be filled in for you.
Step 3: Upload Photo
After logging in, you will be taken to the photo uploader. This will permit you to upload a thumbnail image for your listing. You can either upload it from your drive, or from a link to a photo on a web site. Of course, if you do not care for a thumbnail image, you can simply click on the "List Your Article" button, which will take you to the Categories page, where you can select a category to list your post.
Step 4: Submit your Post Form
The submit form is relatively simple. Starting at the top, type in the title of your article, 60 characters max. Then type in a subtitle if you wish. It can be 80 characters, max. The title, subtitle and a tumbnail image (if you uploaded one) will show up in your listings when users browse the categories or search on keywords. Next, the complaint can be typed into (or copy from another file & paste in) the Post form, but must be in HTML format. If you are not familiar with HTML, use the HTML editor by clicking on its link. There are brief instructions in the HTML editor, that you must delete before you start typing.
Type in your story, and format it as you like with bold, font face, font color, size etc.... Then, click on the link at the bottom of the HTML editor (SWITCH to HTML mode). It will convert your story to HTML, that you can simply copy & paste into the Post form. Next are optional features which are FREE at the moment, but may have a small fee in the future. The options are "Home Page Feature, Category Featured, Highlighted Title, add a Border and Bold Title. Use any combination of these to make your post stand out from others. Below the options, your gallery image should display, if you uploaded one. There is an input box for an animated image that you can use instead of your own gallery image.
Selecting an animated image is very simple. Click on the link, a new window will open, select an image that appeals to you, and copy its name (ie: cats.gif) and paste it into the animated image input box. Now, click on the "Preview your Listing" button, to see how your listing will appear when browsing categories and how your post will appear when someone clicks on your listing. If everything looks OK, click "Submit". The next page will provide you with a direct link to see your actual post. If you need to make changes, simply click on your browser back button to go back to the Post form and make corrctions.

for documents, convert them to an acrobat PDF file and use the following tag
<a href="http://badbusinessalert.com/stories/<myfolder>/name_of_document.pdf"> Link Test </a>
While you CAN link images & documents in your main post, using the link format shown above or links to other servers, it may be best, to place images & documents in an update, which can be edited as often as you like. That way, should you need to add or remove images or documents, you can do so at will. Updates display right below your main post. Note that if the documents that you post on our server have links to images on our server, you will need to replace the <myfolder> with the actual post number which can be found at the top of your post. A sample link is shown below, with an arbitrary post number.

Of course, in order to know your post number, you will have to post your story first. Then you can use links with your post number as shown above in any documents that can be uploaded to our server, and linked to via an update.
Send us the images and documents via email, make sure to include your post number and the title of the post, so we can create a folder for your story and upload them into your folder. Images will show up in your documents as soon as we upload them.
Don't Worry!
